Today, Charleston's incredible collection of colonial and antebellum architectural creates a breathtaking backdrop for your island adventure. The city streets offer a colorful mix of historic private homes and other areas specifically designed for visitor enjoyment. First, King Street is Charleston's traditional shopping mecca with everything from antiques to high fashion and interested gifts galore.
