| If you look on the map of Florida, you won't find any town called "Lemon Key". The name Lemon Key was chosen was chosen for our home because this little village enclave in the town of Englewood sits so close to both Manasota Key on the Gulf of Mexico and Lemon Bay. We have adopted this whimsical name and believe that Lemon Key House and the area surrounding it provide both a bit of "olde" Florida charm and a sense of magic. Englewood is that off the beaten path environment that provides the utmost in rest and relaxation, and yet the convenience of Sarasota, with the closest airport, 40 minutes to the north and Fort Meyers an hour to the south, also with an airport. Lemon Avenue is a little crushed shell road engulfed in green, as are all the surrounding "streets". This is a natural resort type area, but shops and restaurants are a very shot drive away. |
The living room in Lemon Key House has a cathedral ceiling and large windows as well as two ceiling fans. It lends the whole house a feeling and look of being open, airy, fresh and clean! A color tv, vcr, stereo and selection of books, videos and cd's complete the sense of "being home".
