Gulf Coast Island, located just north of Sanibel and Captiva Islands is a Caribbean-like island 3½ miles long and ½ mile wide at the widest point.
With 4 miles of continuous natural beach over half of the island is a state nature preserve (our house has wonderful views of the preserve).
Leave your cars on the mainland. Bicycles and electric golf carts (cart is included with rental) are available on the island for transportation. A convenient water taxi service starts your adventure with a beautiful 20 minute boat ride.
The island has 2 restaurants, 2 gift shops, a pool bar and a small convenience store.
This tropical paradise is filled with natural wonders and an island-pace lifestyle.
The balance between man and nature is an island phenomenon. Birds, tortoises and other wildlife abound.
