Lake Arrowhead Yacht and Country Club, is a private gated community with 24-hour security nestled in the North Georgia mountains and only 45 minutes from downtown.
BEST VIEW ON LAKE with a huge (26-foot by 21-foot), private dock!!! The 540-acre, clear, mountain, spring-fed lake is the largest, man-made, privately-owned lake in Georgia. Enjoy a complimentary boat ride (in season) of entire lake on our beautiful, 24-foot, deck boat. Book early and experience the beautiful FALL FOILAGE scenery. Relax on the upper deck as you sit under a retractable, push button controlled, awning. Enjoy the comfort of the luxuriously cushioned swivel rockers with ottomans and wave as the boats go by. Deck overlooks a professionally landscaped slope that includes many miniature rose bushes and beautiful shrubs. The manicured zoysia lawn is nestled between the dock and the stacked stone slope wall. Dine outside on the covered porch under a ceiling fan. |
This is our vacation home in the country where we enjoy the natural beauty and its surroundings. Magnificent lake views from the Dining and Great Rooms. The vaulted two-story Great Room is beautifully furnished with a plush "L" shaped modern couch with other ultra modern seating. Many eye pleasing contemporary art pieces adorn this room. Please enjoy it as we do. We have made every effort to make your stay comfortable and clean. All the luxuries of home are provided including linens, towels, paper products, fully-equipped kitchen, gas grill, cable TV, and VCR, DVD player. Enjoy yourselves and relax here!
Loft includes free weights and a Stair Master elliptical "Free Runner" machine that looks out at the lake as you exercise. Lake Arrowhead has a beautiful, 18-hole, mountain, golf course open to the public with five of the 18 holes on water. Enjoy watching the deer roam freely as you play. Water recreation includes fishing, swimming, sailing (sunfish), and kayaking. Fish include bass, bream, and catfish. There is also a stable where horses are available for rent with many miles of trails. Tennis and pool are available for your use.
In Waleska, Reinhardt College is home to the Funk Heritage Center, which contains several extensive collections. The Rogers Gallery of Contemporary Indian Art and the Sellars Collection of Antique Hand Tools are always on display. The Center also houses more than 6000 regional artifacts, the most significant of which can be seen in the Hall of the Ancients. Appalachian Settlers Village is also located on the grounds of the Funk Heritage Center and it was designed to interpret the pioneer xperience. The Settlers Village includes authentic log cabins and other 19th century farm buildings that have been moved from their original locations in the area, then faithfully reconstructed and furnished. The structures in our village include a settler's cabin, Woodwright's cabin, English-style log barn, blacksmith shop, syrup mill, grain crib, and much more.
